Knitting Pattern in English for a Short Mini-Dress with a Deep V-Neck at Front and Back Part and Deep Armholes in Sizes (XXS) XS | S | M(L | XL | 2XL) 3XL | 4XL | 5XL.
Structure:
The dress is worked in stockinette stitch in one piece from the top down. You begin with the two front sections, which are worked separately to shape the very deep Vneck and armholes. The two back sections are then worked separately in the same manner, mirroring each other. Finally, all sections are joined, additional stitches are cast on, and the work is joined to knit in the round. Immediately after joining in the round, increases are worked at the sides beneath the underarms to create the dress’ wide, flowing A-line silhouette. Once the dress reaches approximately mid-thigh, the stitches are bound off using an I-cord edging. Stitches are then picked up along the deep V-necklines at both the front and back, and an I-cord edging is worked around each neckline. The same process is repeated around both armholes. The dress is short, reaching approximately mid-thigh, with a beautifully flowing silhouette created by its pronounced A-line shape and generous increases. Both the frontand back feature very deep Vnecklines, and the armholes are cutequally low. This makes the dressparticularly well suited for layeringover a blouse, long-sleeved top, or Tshirt.Of course, it also looks fantasticworn without an additional layer – ifyou’re happy to show a little moreskin. :)

A few notes before you begin:
- Yardage of Cosmo yarn: For most skeins of the Cosmo yarn used, the actual yardage is significantly longer than stated on the yarn labels. If you are using sequin yarn from another manufacturer, I recommend following the yarn quantities specified in the pattern. However, if you are using the original yarn Cosmo recommended in the pattern, you will probably need 1-2 fewer skeins of Cosmo.
- Row gauge and why it matters: Row gauge is extremely important for this pattern. I personally have a very tight row gauge, which was even tighter for this particular design because I paid special attention to making sure as many sequins as possible ended up on the right side of the fabric. As a result, I knitted slowly – and tightly. I strongly recommend knitting a gauge swatch and paying more attention to your row gauge than your stitch gauge. Otherwise, the neckline might end up being much deeper than intended.
- Fit of the dress: The dress is designed as a loose-fitting, pinafore-style dress, meaning that both the Vneckline and armholes are quite deep. You may therefore want to wear a blouse, tank top, T-shirt, or longsleeved top underneath. If you would like to adjust the straps afterwards, you can easily do so, as the pattern starts with a provisional cast on You may need a little patience here, as sequins yarn is more difficultto unravel than other types of yarn.
