Knitting Pattern in English for a Slightly Loose Sweater with a Saddle Shoulder and Raglan Construction, a Classic Round Neck and a Beautiful Textured Lace Pattern, Emphasized by Different Yarn Qualities, in Sizes XS | S | M (L | XL | 2XL)3XL | 4XL | 5XL.
Structure:The sweater is worked in stockinette stitch alternated by a beautiful textured lace pattern with raglan increases top down in one piece. First, the body is worked back and forth in rows to shape the round neck. Therefore, increases are worked in right side rows and wrong side rows to shape a saddle shoulder (and the round neck, of course). Then, the sweater is worked in the round with sleeve and round neck increases only. Afterwards, there are classic raglan increases, until the sleeves are separated from the body. The body is then finished in stockinette stitch alternated by the beautiful textured lace pattern in the round and with a hem in 1x1 half twisted ribbing with twisted knit stitches. The sleeve stitches are picked up again and the sleeves are finished in stockinette stitch and in the beautiful textured lace pattern in the round and with cuffs in 1x1 ribbing with twisted knit stitches. Last but not least, stitches around the round neckline are picked up and a double folded collar is worked in 1x1 ribbing with twisted knit stitches. The beautiful textured lace pattern, which covers body and sleeves, is emphasized by using different yarn qualities: 2 strands of Tilia for the stockinette stitch part and 1 strand of Tilia held together with 1 strand of Arwetta for the textured lace pattern. The combination of Tilia and Arwetta is used for the half twisted ribbing of collar, cuffs and hem as well. The fit of the sweater is fitted around the shoulders, but looser around bust and waist. The sleeves are again relatively fitted around the upper arm and flow straight into the ribbed pattern of the cuffs, but straight and without any shaping.
